The dpi for pictures for the web is 300 , and 72 for print. That is so it will fit the screen for a dpi of 300. If the dpi would be 72 for the web the image would be too small. The three tools I learned this week are the elliptical marquee tool, blur tool, and the custom shape tool.
For print you need 300 dpi and 72 for web images.
